WILLIAM 'BILL' DAVID

President

Bill first joined Rotary in 1987 with the Woonasquatucket Valley Rotary Club. He served as various committee Chairs and was club President in 1992-1993.

He has served on various District committees and joined the Rotary Club of Metro Providence two years ago.

He is excited about the opportunity that the Metro Providence club has to be on the "cutting edge" of what Rotary will look like in the future.

DEVINA THAKUR

Immediate Past President

Devina has been a Rotarian since July 2020. Born and raised in Providence, RI, Devina has been passionate about making her city a better place. Devina received her Master's in Environmental Science and Management from the University of Rhode Island in 2018. Since then, she has been actively pursuing a career in renewable energy to make the world a better place!

LAURA SPEAR

Public Image Chair

Laura Spear is a senior executive with broad and deep experience in marketing and communications, primarily for high tech companies from start ups to Fortune 1000 organizations. A Past President, District Public Image Chair, the Zone 32 Public Image Coordinator, and a recent member of the Rotary International Communications Committee, she has been a Rotarian for 10 years, is passionate about community service, and is delighted to call Providence her new home.

MICHAEL FRIEDMAN

Treasurer

Michael was a Founder of the Metro Providence Rotary and has been a Rotarian since 2014. He is a lifelong Rhode Islander, growing up in Providence and now living with his family in East Greenwich. Michael is Director of Sales and Leasing at Paolino Properties and focuses on commercial and investment properties. He is also Treasurer of Grow Smart RI and sits on the Board of East Greenwich Little League. He is passionate about making Rhode Island a better place for all who live and work here.

LYN DALEY

Honorary Member

Lyn became a Rotarian in 2017 when her amazing husband Bo introduced her to it. She has attended 2 International Conventions in Toronto & Hamburg, and is proud to be a part of a 1.2 million & growing global Rotarian family. Lyn is passionate about her work and celebrates each completed interior design project, owning Authentic-Interiors for 22 years and counting.

BO DALEY

Honorary Member

Bo has been a Rotarian since 2015 and has attended 2 International Conventions. He is a former District 7910 Chair of Rotary Means Business as well as a lifelong member of Surfer's United Rotarian Fellowship. Bo has a passion for serving community and is always willing to guide and mentor new Rotarians. He has maintained a career in the banking industry since 2001 and enjoys educating students in the community on financial literacy.

JASON LEA

Club Member

Jason is the CEO of Brokers’ Service Marketing Group, a Providence-based Life Insurance and Annuity Brokerage General Agency. He is currently a member of the Financial Planning Association of Rhode Island and the Rhode Island Estate Planning Council. He is the 2021 NAILBA Chairman of the board and serves on the board of LIBRA as well. A graduate of Davidson College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics, Jason has also earned his CFP® designation in 2006, is a licensed insurance agent, and is FINRA registered series 6 and 63. He lives in Barrington, RI with his wife Catherine and four children…and yes, it’s a busy house!!

AMY MANCHESTER

Club Member

Amy moved to Providence 5 years ago and has been a Rotarian since 2018. She joined Providence Metro Rotary in December of 2019. She is the Managing Partner of the Flatbread Company on College Hill and is passionate about feeding and educating her community about the importance of sourcing local and organic foods. Through her work she is able to partner with over 50 local and non profit organization each year.

KYLE MUELLER

Club Member

Kyle has been a Rotarian since 2017, and in that time has served as a foundation treasurer, club treasurer, and tech guru in his previous club in Washington DC, and now president-elect of the Rotary Club of Metro Providence. Kyle is very passionate about helping our club grow its presence within the local community through a combination of creating personal connections across Rhode Island, as well as volunteering his time for boots-on-the ground work and technical know-how on the back end.

CHRIS SPEAR

Club Member

Chris Spear has been a Rotarian since 2012, originally in the Rotary Club of Nashoba Valley where he was president 2016-17. For many years, he organized the Veterans Day Breakfast, Purple Pinkie Day with the local schools, and the annual food packaging event with Rise Against Hunger and many local clubs. He also served as an Assistant Governor for several years. When not serving others, he is an instructor with Siemens, and rider in the Pan Mass Challenge (PMC) since 1989.

BRADLY J. VANDERSTAD

Club Member

Bradly has been a Rotarian since December of 2019. Originally from Wayne, NJ, he moved to Providence in 2012 and has dedicated himself to the city completely: he also serves as the President of the Downtown Hospitality Group, Board Member of the Summit Neighborhood Association and Managing Editor of Briefly RI. He is also a graduate student at Roger Williams University studying Public Administration, and is the founder and owner of the Providence Tour Company. Bradly is passionate about environmental causes and anything that makes his city of Providence better.
